On the eve of the national holiday, the traditional Latvia contour run will take place in Valmiera, where participants can choose to run in one of two streams or complete the route at a walking pace. Attendees are encouraged to bring flashlights, string lights, or other safe light sources, as well as red-white-red festive attributes. The route can also be completed on other days at a convenient time, with the route map available on the Valmiera municipality website and at the municipality. Additionally, there will be an opportunity to participate in a holiday quiz about Valmiera and Latvia. The main goal is to be active and collectively create a festive atmosphere in honor of Latvia.
