Investigative journalist and Re co-founder Inga Spriņģe will lead a lecture-performance titled “Why don't they understand?”, seeking answers to questions about disinformation, people's beliefs, critical thinking, and difficult conversations. The event will explore how our own thinking can mislead us, why a sense of belonging to a group sometimes becomes more important than truth, and how to communicate with people who think differently. Practical techniques will also be discussed, such as how to ask, listen, and understand when to continue a conversation and when to stop. Inga Spriņģe is a member of international investigative journalism organizations with over 20 years of professional experience. Participation in the event is free of charge. After the event, there will be an opportunity to talk with the author, purchase a book, and receive an autograph.
