Pianist Diāna Zandberga presents the program “Eņģeļkauls” (Angelbone), exploring the clash of the divine and worldly in search of spiritual light. The first part of the concert features piano masterpieces by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Franz Liszt, including Liszt's legends “St. Francis of Assisi Preaching to the Birds” and “St. Francis of Paola Walking on the Waves,” as well as Richard Wagner's “Isolde's Love-Death” in Liszt's piano transcription. The second part will include music by this year's jubilarians Imants Zemzars and Pēteris Vasks, concluding with choreo-musical works specially written for Diāna Zandberga, incorporating the pianist's dance episodes.
