The association “Latvijas Sarkanais Krusts” is organizing a lecture titled “Financial Literacy in Everyday Life” as part of the “Cilvēcības tilts” project. The lecture will cover, in simple and understandable language, how to plan daily expenses, build savings, and utilize bank-offered saving tools, such as the "krājrīks". Participants will also learn how to identify fraudulent calls, SMS, and emails, and how to safely manage bank cards, internet banking, and personal data. Practical steps for protecting one's money and making informed financial decisions will be discussed, using daily examples relevant to seniors and information from Latvijas Banka, CERT.LV, and other official sources. The lecture will be led by Līga Sičeva, a partner and International Cooperation Director at PowerHouse Latvia, a RISEBA lecturer, and an internationally certified project manager.
