The “Miracle” Ballet Theatre, founded by choreographer Irina Shemyakina, presents its new show “The Princess and the Dragon” for the whole family, suitable for children aged three and up. The performance draws inspiration from medieval knightly romances, Scandinavian, and Slavic myths, featuring characters like goddesses, mermaids, strange creatures, and Koschei. The story is conveyed through dance, without words, utilizing a unique “black theatre” technique that creates surreal light effects where objects and characters appear to float freely in the dark. The show combines the virtuosity of the dancers with sparkling humor and subtle irony, inviting the audience to immerse themselves in a fairy tale world and reflecting on the importance of love, kindness, and freedom.
