The Daugavpils Culture Palace will host the theater performance “Chanel Nr. 1,” dedicated to the life of fashion designer Coco Chanel. The play explores her paradoxical journey from poverty to global recognition, breaking stereotypes and advocating for women's rights. The creators believe Chanel's story, though veiled in mystery, is worthy of attention. The author is Igor Yakimov, and the director is Vadim Grosman. Costume consultant is Alexander Vasilyev, composer Andrey Alexandrov, set designer Natalia Muzhichkina, and choreographer Anna Romenkova. The cast includes Natalia Shcheglova as Gabrielle Chanel, Maria Danilyuk as Coco Chanel, and Nikolay Shestak in multiple roles, including the director of the Chanel fashion house, Jean Etienne Balsan, Arthur Capel Boy, Paul Poiret, Prince Dmitry Pavlovich, Ernest Beaux, and a representative of the cleaning committee.
