The concert “Dvēseles dziesma” (Song of the Soul) offers a journey into the creative world of composer Ēriks Ešenvalds, combining live performances of his music with his personal narration. The program features sacred and spiritual music, vocal-instrumental works, an organ solo opus, and fragments from stage music, including pieces like “Laudate Dominum,” “O Salutaris Hostia,” “Adoremus in aeternum,” “Dāvida dziesmas,” “Dvēseles dziesma,” the Librarian's aria from the opera “Iemūrētie,” and the organ solo “Fantāzija.” Performers include soprano Viktorija Majore, saxophonist Aigars Raumanis, and Riga Dome organist Aigars Reinis, both recipients of the Grand Music Award. Composer Ēriks Ešenvalds will participate as a narrator and concert host, sharing personal stories and insights into his creative process.
