The concert program "Dances for Saxophone and Accordion" offers a vibrant, temperamental, and stylistically diverse chamber music journey, bringing together the saxophone and accordion. Both instruments are closely linked to 20th and 21st-century music, urban culture, dance rhythms, and the fusion of genres. The program centers on dance as a universal musical and cultural phenomenon, interpreted as bodily energy, movement, and dialogue. Listeners will be guided through various geographical and stylistic spaces, from Astor Piazzolla's new tango to Gorka Hermosa's Iberian dance landscapes, Latin American rhythms, Pedro Iturralde's Greek-inspired festive atmosphere, Richard Galliano's French and world music colors, and Hermeto Pascoal's Brazilian freedom. The concert features outstanding musicians: accordionist Artūrs Noviks and saxophonist Aigars Raumanis.
