Valmiera municipality, in collaboration with the Valmiera Region Foundation, the State Fire and Rescue Service, and the State Police, is organizing nine meetings for residents across various locations in the municipality to discuss practical actions in crisis situations. The aim of these training sessions is to provide information and help residents prepare for potential crises, understand the organization of civil defense in the region, identify safe shelters, prepare 72-hour emergency supplies, and strengthen cooperation within families and with neighbors. Discussions will cover how to act before and during a crisis, where to find reliable information, and municipal communication during crises, including scenarios without internet or electricity. Residents will have the opportunity to ask questions to specialists and receive informational materials.
