The play “LOJALITĀTES” (Loyalties) is a one-act carousel of thoughts, based on the work of Delphine de Vigan and directed by Endīne Bērziņa. Three actors in an abandoned playground bring to life a story about loyalties – the invisible bonds that connect us to both the living and the dead. At its heart are twelve-year-old Tea, who finds solace in alcohol, her friend Matiss, who is drawn into her dangerous secret, and teacher Elēna, who cannot escape her childhood ghosts and becomes obsessed with saving the girl. Their thoughts, memories, and hidden wounds spin in an unstoppable carousel, seeking an answer to how far we are willing to go to protect those we love.
