An author meeting with Nauris Gekišs, a recent member of the Tukums Literary Association. The event will feature the presentation of his book "Tuvā zvaigzne" and a poetry program titled "Zied Tukums kā roze pie Kurzemes tērpa". This program is designed to introduce poems dedicated to the Tukums region, its notable personalities, and significant landmarks. Nauris Gekišs, born in Jūrmala and a graduate of the University of Latvia's Faculty of History and Philosophy, began writing poetry and stories in primary school, earning recognition in young writers' competitions. After a break, he resumed writing during an illness, publishing on social media before friends encouraged him to release poetry books.
