Valmiera municipality, in collaboration with the Valmiera Region Foundation, the State Fire and Rescue Service, and the State Police, is organizing nine meetings for residents across various locations in the municipality to discuss practical actions during crisis situations. The aim of these training sessions is to provide information and help residents prepare for potential crises, as well as understand how to act when they occur. Residents will learn about the organization of civil defense in the municipality, the role of the local government, security services, and non-governmental organizations, and receive advice on setting up safe shelters, preparing 72-hour emergency supplies, and strengthening cooperation with family and neighbors.
