The "Night of Light" charity run in Valmiera supports the Valmiera Support Center "Solis" by collecting donations for rehabilitation equipment for children with functional and mental disabilities. The event includes a children's light speed sprint (400 m), the Daliņš light run/walk (1 km), the Night of Light run (3 km), and a corporate charity relay titled "Step by Step Closer to Hope". Participation is by voluntary donation. Awards will be given to the top finishers in the 3 km distance, the winning corporate relay teams, and the creator of the most creative light costume. The event is organized by the association "Valmiera NEXT" in cooperation with SIA "Valmieras Olimpiskais centrs".
