About The Experience
The Daugavpils Open Ice Hockey Championship for seniors aged 45 and over will feature five teams: “DVL-45”, HK “SPEEDWAY”, “PSK”, HK “MADONA”, and “AUGŠDAUGAVA”, competing for the championship title. The tournament will consist of two rounds, with each team playing eight games, totaling 20 games. Winners will be determined by the sum of points accumulated, with specific tie-breaking rules in case of equal points. Field players born in 1982 or earlier and goalkeepers born in 1992 or earlier are eligible to participate, with a maximum of 25 players per team. Special game rules apply, prohibiting body checking and slap shots, and outlining specific penalties for misconduct. Trophies and medals will be awarded to the winners, along with special prizes for the best goalkeeper, defenseman, forward, top scorer, and best referee.
