About The Experience

The Liepāja Museum will host the opening of the exhibition "NĀKOTNES PERSPEKTĪVAS / FUTURE HORIZONS", featuring works by lecturers from the Glass Art Department of the Latvian Academy of Art. Participating glass artists include Agnese Gedule, Ernests Vītiņš, Ilze Dūdiņa, Inita Ēmane, Inguna Audere, Vineta Groza, Santa Bekmane, and Sandra Utāne. The exhibition will also display "Čiekuriņš no Baireitas" by the late glass artist Viktors Jansons, which combines glass, brick, and a pine cone. In these diverse artworks, glass serves as a metaphor for transparency, fragility, and the ability to change, with light playing a crucial role in highlighting the optical properties of glass, revealing the interaction of colors, forms, and reflections.
