Valmiera municipality, in collaboration with the Valmiera Region Fund, the State Fire and Rescue Service, and the State Police, is organizing a series of civil protection training sessions titled "Learn! Prepare! Act!" for residents across the municipality. These meetings aim to provide practical advice and information on how to act in various crisis situations, addressing the public's demand for such information. The training will cover the organization of civil protection in the region, the role of local government, security services, non-governmental organizations, and the community. Participants will receive tips on identifying safe shelters, preparing household supplies for 72 hours, and strengthening cooperation within families and with neighbors. Discussions will also include fraud prevention and communication during crises when internet or electricity may be unavailable.
