The Valmiera municipality, in cooperation with the Valmiera Region Fund, the State Fire and Rescue Service, and State Police specialists, is organizing nine meetings with residents across various locations in the Valmiera region. The aim of these training sessions is to provide information and help residents practically prepare for potential crisis situations and understand how to act during them. Attendees will learn about civil defense organization in the region, how to identify and set up a safe shelter, prepare household supplies for 72 hours, strengthen cooperation within families and with neighbors, and avoid becoming victims of fraud. A significant part of the seminars will focus on municipal cooperation and communication with residents during a crisis, including situations without internet or electricity.
