Concert Hall Cēsis will host the presentation concert for the second album by jazz saxophonist and composer Toms Rudzinskis' project ABYSS, as part of the new "Jazz Lounge – Toms Rudzinskis Residency" series. Musicians from Latvia, Germany, Denmark, Ukraine, and Sweden will participate in the concert. The ABYSS project, originating in Berlin, combines electroacoustic sound with contemporary jazz compositional thinking, creating a dynamic sound featuring electrified jazz textures, strong rhythms, and layered harmonies. The concert will showcase material from the new album, where the ABYSS sound becomes darker and broader, with a greater role for vocal parts and electronics. Toms Rudzinskis' first ABYSS recording received the "Best Jazz Album" award at the Latvian Music Recording Annual Award "Zelta mikrofons".
