Iecava will host a Lāčplēsis Day commemoration event, beginning with a torch procession. Participants are encouraged to bring torches and candles, and to wear a red-white-red ribbon on their clothing. Following the procession, a memorial moment will take place, featuring a solemn oath by the Young Guards, poetry readings by 11th-grade students from Iecava Secondary School, and a performance by musician Dainis Skutelis.
