The Ā.Alunāns Jelgava Theatre presents the play “Sirds nepacietība” (Impatience of the Heart), based on Stefan Zweig's psychological novel. Set shortly before World War I, the performance explores the complex relationship between compassion and love, questioning whether pity and self-sacrifice can coexist and how to distinguish genuine feelings from the "impatience of the heart, which hurries to free itself from the oppressive feeling of another's misfortune." Lolita Muižniece is the author of the dramatization and the director. The cast includes Jānis Dūrējs, Juris Bandenieks, Raina Šmelde, Līga Martinenko, Uldis Timma, Andris Jakovelis, and Artūrs Vasiļjevs.
