During the school autumn break, scientists from leading Latvian research institutions invite families to experiment and try science in practice. Attendees can witness hydrogen reactions, build a simple battery, compete with solar-powered cars, discover if all that glitters is gold, and learn what a drone and sky camera see. Activities will be provided by the University of Latvia Institute of Solid State Physics (hydrogen experiments, car mini-races, battery building, quiz), Riga Technical University (chemical substance and material analysis), and the Institute of Electronics and Computer Science (remote sensing with a drone and sky camera). Participation in these activities is free of charge and available before purchasing tickets. Science shows will also take place on this day.
