The Latgale Central Library is hosting a book exhibition titled “The Little Prince,” which is part of the project “Travel the World of Languages!” This exhibition highlights the significance of books and the richness of languages, encouraging the learning of new words, improved thinking, sustained attention, and an understanding of other cultures. Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's book about “The Little Prince” serves as an inspiring example across multiple generations. The project, which began in spring 2023, annually offers new collections of children's books, having previously showcased stories about Pippi Longstocking, Alice in Wonderland, and other characters in various Latvian cities. These collections are curated by the European Commission's Directorate-General for Translation to promote European languages and cultures, and they are displayed at European Language Days events.
