The Liepāja Visual Art Biennale “Paralēle” invites artists from Liepāja and its surroundings to submit their works. Each artist may submit up to two works created within the last two years, accompanied by a completed application form. Submissions are accepted from October 26 to November 1. The exhibition will be open for viewing from November 12 to December 13. This biennial event, held every two years, showcases the diversity, quality, and current trends in local art. As Liepāja prepares to become the European Capital of Culture in 2027, the biennale focuses on the visibility and artistic values of artists from Liepāja and its region, and their role in contemporary cultural processes. A professional jury will evaluate the works, and the Liepāja Culture Department has established a prize fund of 3000 euros.
