A torchlight procession titled "Light on the Path to Freedom" will take place in Jēkabpils, dedicated to Lāčplēsis Day. The event invites participants to unite in a shared moment of light and remembrance, honoring Latvia's freedom fighters and commemorating those who fought for the nation's independence. The procession route will lead from the Daugava protective dam, along Dambja and Kļavu streets, across the Daugava bridge, down Rīgas street, and conclude at the "To Those Fallen for the Fatherland" monument.
