The Jūrmala Museum hosts two exhibitions by the Latvian Ceramics Association, “Vēstkopa 1” and “Vēstkopa 2”, as part of a broader ceramics project. “Vēstkopa 1” features works by professional ceramists, while “Vēstkopa 2” showcases creations by students from the Latvian Academy of Art. The exhibitions explore the themes of permanence and transience of messages, nostalgia, and emotional resonance through ceramic art. Over eighty ceramists of various generations and styles are represented, demonstrating the expressive possibilities of clay, stoneware, and porcelain in spatial forms, sculptures, functional objects, and painted designs. The parallel program includes creative workshops in nerikomi technique and jewelry making, as well as a lecture by Dr. Art.
