The unique concert program "Kalniņš? Vasks?" brings together the music of two significant Latvian composers, Imants Kalniņš and Pēteris Vasks, with a focus on choral sound. The program features both well-known and lesser-known choral and solo songs by both composers, as well as arrangements of instrumental pieces, many from their early creative periods. The concerts feature the Youth Choir BALSIS, artistic director Ints Teterovskis, and other artists. The Cēsis concert will include soloist Andrejs Reinis Zitmanis, percussionist Reinis Tomiņš, and pianist Ieva Dzērve. The Riga concert will feature soloist Ieva Akuratere, guitarist Jānis Ruņģis, and organist Kristīne Adamaite. Both concerts are united by lighting artist Ivars Vācers, photographer Lauris Vīksne, and video artist Juris Pīlēns. Sign language interpretation will be provided at the concerts.
