The professional wind orchestra “Daugava” invites to a concert dedicated to the 80th birthday of the esteemed conductor, pedagogue, and founder of the orchestra, Raimonds Igolnieks. The concert will feature Latvian National Opera soloist Ilona Bagele. The program includes works by Raimonds Pauls, Pēteris Butāns, Gunārs Ordelovskis, Jānis Ivanovs, and arrangements by Aivars Krūmiņš and Raimonds Igolnieks. Edgars Samorodovs will conduct the concert. Raimonds Igolnieks is the founder and former chief conductor of the professional wind orchestra “Daugava”, an honorary citizen of Daugavpils, and a chief conductor at various song festivals. The event is organized by the Daugavpils City Municipality institution “Vienības nams” with the support of the Daugavpils City Municipality.
