The exhibition “Eternal Čaks,” featuring documentary evidence from the Latvian National Archives, offers an opportunity to explore the personality, creative work, and era of the outstanding Latvian poet and translator Aleksandrs Čaks, commemorating his 125th anniversary. The exposition includes documents and materials from the Latvian National Archives, the Eduards Smiļģis Theatre Museum, Latvian Radio, Latvian Television, and the Liepāja and Dailes theatres. Audiovisual materials, such as fragments from animated films “My Paradise” and “Game with Life” and evidence of Čaks's work in stage productions and screen adaptations, complement the exhibition. It reveals the timeless values of Čaks's work, including love, human inner experiences, Riga city life, national self-awareness, and patriotism. The exhibition is open during working hours.
