A conversation with artists Līga Laurenoviča and Artūrs Puntis will explore the most dramatic phase of a book's life cycle: its disposal. The event will examine the "death" of a book from the perspectives of a reader, librarian, and artist, introducing art practices where former reading material transforms into raw material. Participants will consider what they wish to preserve in a book destined for destruction. Both members of the Book Club and any interested individuals are invited to attend. This event is part of the "Orbīta" residency "Prakse" within the "KURTUVE: Contemporary Culture for Everyone" project, which involves collaboration with regional book clubs in Valmiera, Rūjiena, Kocēni, Strenči, and Mazsalaca.
