The "Liepāja Throwdown 2026" functional fitness competition will take place, bringing together athletes in various skill and age categories. Spectators can expect dynamic competitions where athletes will test their strength, endurance, speed, and overall physical fitness by performing various functional fitness tasks. Three competition workouts (WODs) and a final are planned, with the third WOD and the final task revealed on the day of the competition. This year's novelty includes pair competitions for men's and mixed pairs, requiring teamwork and strategy. A larger functional fitness structure in the competition area will allow more athletes to compete simultaneously. Throughout the day, attendees can watch athletes from Rookie, Sport, and Masters classes, as well as pair battles.
