The Liepāja Visual Arts Biennial "Paralēle" invites artists from Liepāja and its surroundings to submit their works. Each artist may submit up to two works created within the last two years, accompanied by a completed application form. This biennial, held every two years, showcases the diversity, quality, and current trends of local art, focusing on the visibility of Liepāja artists and their role in cultural processes as the city prepares to become the European Capital of Culture in 2027. A professional jury will evaluate the works based on their artistic quality. The Liepāja Culture Department provides a prize fund of 3000 euros, and the museum will acquire one work to enrich its art collection. The exhibition will be open for viewing from mid-November to mid-December.
