Andrejs Ēķis' spy thriller "Dark Border" is set in 1938, following Latvian counter-intelligence officer Baltais, who is sent on a secret mission to a border town under the guise of journalist Ilmārs Blanks. His objective is to recover vital state security information and expose a Russian agent.
