The vocal jazz group “Assembly Singers” invites you to a concert dedicated to the unique aesthetic of New Orleans, or Louisiana, blues. Known for their creative explorations and diverse vocal sound, the group will delve into the world of blues in this program. They will be joined by outstanding musicians: program author and arranger Aleksandrs Tomass Matjussons (piano), Arians Seviško (guitar, vocals), Pēteris Liepiņš (double bass), Vadims Dmitrijevs (trombone), Sandis Skeranskis (trumpet), and Artis Orubs (percussion). Together, they will create the charm of Louisiana blues, where the melancholy of blues intertwines with movement, vitality, warmth, and joy of life. This music tells a story of human experience, where jazz improvisation, gospel spirituality, the energy of rhythm and soul, funk pulsation, and the diversity of Creole music merge into a unified sound.
