The family film "Survival School," directed by Pāvels Gumennikovs (Latvia/Lithuania, 2026), follows a rebellious teenager who takes her blind younger sister on a long-dreamed-of adventure: a survival competition in the forest. This journey serves to conceal the harsh truth that their father has suddenly died, and the sisters would otherwise be placed under the guardianship of their seemingly unbearable American stepmother.
