During the school autumn break, youth aged 13 to 30 from Olaine and Mārupe municipalities are invited to the Eurodesk "Time to Move" campaign event "With steps and stories towards Europe". Participants will embark on an approximately 5–7 km hike to explore the Mārupe surroundings and the Bieriņi bog area, spending time actively and meeting other young people. Following the hike, there will be an opportunity to enjoy tea and snacks, hear an experience story about volunteering in another country, and learn about European Union youth programs and available opportunities in Europe. The event aims to foster youth interest in European mobility, volunteering abroad, and youth programs, as well as promote mutual cooperation. Transport will be provided for youth from Olaine municipality. Participation in the event is free of charge, but advance registration is mandatory by October 19.
