The Cēsis Culture Centre's mixed choir "Beverīna" invites you to its 60th-anniversary concert, "Searching for Beverīna Hillfort." This musical-historical narrative is dedicated to the choir's jubilee, offering a journey through the history, legends, ballads, and folk songs of the Cēsis region. The concert will honor Cēsis' cultural heritage, specifically the "Beverīna" choir, and delve into the true location of the Beverīna hillfort. Founded in 1966 as a teachers' choir, it initiated the teachers' choir movement across Latvia. The concert features the mixed choir "Beverīna" with artistic director Patriks Stepe, conductors Holgers Štāls and Roberta Kumsāre, concert host Jānis Ramāns, and pianist Guna Rācene. Former conductors, including Imants Kokars, Juris Kokars, Sigvards Kļava, Mārtiņš Klišāns, Ēriks Derums, Jurģis Cābulis, and Aivis Greters, will also be acknowledged.
