The exhibition "Birkerts – 20th Century Accents," created by the National Library of Latvia, opens on World Architecture Day. It is dedicated to the centenary of the world-renowned Latvian architect Gunārs Birkerts (1925-2017). The exhibition features original panels, architectural drawings, and models from Birkerts' office "Birkerts & Associates," along with texts and large-format photographs. The exposition highlights Birkerts' creative work, his approach to Nordic architecture, and his childhood drawings. During the event, city architects, "Saules skola" students and teachers, and other interested individuals will have the opportunity to meet with Artūrs Lapiņš, Chairman of the Latvian Architects' Union, architect Andris Kronbergs, and exhibition curator Jānis Dripe, who will deliver lectures.
