Edgar Mucenieks' solo exhibition "Obsession" explores the artist's three main obsessions: mountains, encounters with a fateful woman, and nudity. Through personal stories, memories, and artworks, the exhibition reveals experiences and people who have shaped the artist's creative journey. The theme of mountains is highlighted by the recent Latvian alpinist expedition in Alaska, while the central part of the exhibition features a video work about encounters and non-encounters, created with L. Muceniece and V. Graždanovičs. The "nude" section showcases recent drawings and paintings of swimmers and other happy people by the water. The artist emphasizes that without "obsession," the colors of life are pale.
