A practical seminar-workshop for parents and child caregivers in Liepāja, organized by the Child Protection Center as part of the "Love is Safety" informational event series. Family psychotherapy specialist Sarmīte Štāle and physical activity and self-regulation coach Oskars Špickopfs will examine common parenting situations and seek practical solutions for non-violent child-rearing. Topics will include distinguishing firm boundary setting from violent behavior, recognizing signs of increasing tension and stopping before losing self-control, reducing tension with simple body and breathing techniques, saying "no" to a child without hurting or humiliating them, and finding advice and support during uncertainty or overload. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions, discuss their family experiences, and try out techniques. Participation in the event is free of charge.
