The Jelgava Chamber Orchestra invites to the concert "Daugava. Lāčplēsis," featuring original music by composer Emīls Zilberts for a selection of digitally restored fragments from the 1930 Latvian historical film "Lāčplēsis." This film portrays Latvia's path to freedom through mythical and real characters. The concert is divided into two parts: the first will feature the Jelgava Lielupes Secondary School mixed choir "Rotā," led by conductors Līga Celma-Kursiete, Krista Delvere, and Ingus Leilands, performing Mārtiņš Brauns and Rainis's "Daugava." The second part will see the Jelgava Chamber Orchestra, under the direction of Aigars Meri, perform Emīls Zilberts' music for the film "Lāčplēsis." Photography and filming may take place during the event.
