An exhibition by painter Ilze Griezāne, titled "In Search of the Ideal Landscape," is on display. The exhibition features landscapes created in various years and seasons, revealing the artist's ongoing dialogue with Latvian nature, particularly motifs of the Daugava River. The artist draws inspiration from observing nature, and her works depict nature without human presence, allowing viewers to experience its harmony and mystery. Her painting style is light and fluid, with oil colors applied in glazes to create a watercolor-like airiness. The paintings exude peace, quiet, and clarity, inviting viewers to pause and reflect. The exhibition also explores the contemporary relevance of landscape painting, where the "ideal landscape" is a feeling rather than a specific place.
