The “EkVidO” environmental education program by SIA “Rīgas meži” is organizing bird feeder building workshops, which are educational and practical sessions. During these events, participants will learn about proper winter bird feeding and will construct safe and eco-friendly bird feeders themselves. The initiative aims to promote responsible bird feeding and demonstrate how to create suitable feeders. The workshops will be held in collaboration with educational institutions, social centers, and other community groups. A “Rīgas meži” specialist will discuss the most appropriate food and safest feeder designs, which will later be placed in areas managed by “Rīgas meži”. Interested individuals are welcome to participate, but please note that the number of bird feeder kits is limited.
