The premiere of the film "Tumšā robeža" (The Dark Border). Set in 1938, the film follows Latvian counter-intelligence officer Baltais, who is sent on a secret mission to a border town. Posing as journalist Ilmārs Blanks, he attempts to recover information vital to national security and expose a Russian agent. Baltais finds himself in a place that serves as a narrow strip between two worlds, concealing the truth about the mysterious murder of his beloved woman.
