The "SĀKUMS" exhibition, featuring four Latvian artists, is on display at the "New East" cultural space, exploring the moment of emergence and change, the liminal state between the visible and invisible. The exhibition brings together Rūdolfs Balcers' audiovisual installation "Sun Fire", Marija Šatalova's painting series "Noktirnes", Marija Vasiļjeva's photo triptych "Vienatne. Vientulība. Vienība", and Marta Viktorija Agruma's work "Neziņas mākonis (Attēls)". The artworks invite viewers to focus on the process of perception, allowing images to transform and reveal themselves gradually. The opening evening of the exhibition will include a discussion titled "How to look at the unknown?" and a guided tour with the curator and artists. Individual visits are free of charge, with prior booking required. An audio description in Latvian is available for blind and visually impaired visitors.
