About The Experience

The Rotko Museum will host screenings of films from the Riga International Film Festival (RIGA IFF), presenting a curated selection of world cinema. The program features four internationally acclaimed films: Maria Kreutzer's award-winning psychological drama "Doux Monstre," Markus Schleinzer's black-and-white portrait drama "Rose" about a woman's fight for freedom in the 17th century, Paweł Pawlikowski's "Fatherland" depicting Thomas Mann's journey in post-war Germany, and Lance Hammer's chamber drama "Queen at Sea" exploring a mother's dementia. The films will be shown in their original language with Latvian subtitles and are recommended for viewers aged 16 and older. The event is supported by the Daugavpils City Municipality and the State Culture Capital Foundation.
