Edgars Mucenieks' solo exhibition "Obsession" delves into the artist's three main obsessions: mountains, encountering a fateful woman, and nudity. The exhibition reveals personal stories, memories, and artworks that have shaped the artist's creative journey, drawing inspiration from his teachers and life experiences. The theme of mountains is highlighted by the recent Latvian alpinist expedition in Alaska, while the exhibition's central piece is a video work exploring encounters and non-encounters. The "nude" section features recent drawings and paintings of happy people by the water. The artist notes that without "obsession," life's colors tend to be pale.
