A Holy Mass and a memorial concert will be held at Pasiena's Saint Dominic Roman Catholic Church, dedicated to the 220th anniversary of Konstance Benislavska's death. The Latvian Polish Union invites attendees to honor Konstance Benislavska (1747–1806), a Polish-Latgalian noblewoman and poet who was one of the most prominent cultural figures of the 18th century, closely associated with Pasiena, Zosuli, and Bērzpils. Her only poetry collection, “Pieśņi sobie śpiewane” (Songs Sung to Oneself), and her profound faith have left a significant mark on Latgale's heritage, continuing to resonate today and reminding us of the enduring nature of light and inner strength.
