The 60th-anniversary concert for pedagogue, conductor, and saxophonist Elmārs Rudzītis will feature soloists and various musical ensembles, including “The Teacher’s Band” and the Youth Wind Orchestra “Sudrabskaņa”. The concert is divided into two parts: the first, described by the author as “From Gershwin to Rudzītis”, will be followed by a second part creating a mysterious and slightly thrilling atmosphere with musical accents inspired by American cultural icons. The event will be hosted by actors Baiba and Valdis Vanagi.
