The French group “Bruno Angelini trio Lotus Flowers” invites you to a musical journey in the mood of jazz and blues. Group leader Bruno Angelini explains that the program's idea is based on the symbolism of the lotus flower, which grows in muddy lakes, symbolizing light and purity amidst the “mud” of the modern world. The music of these award-winning musicians is rooted in free jazz and blues. The trio consists of Bruno Angelini (piano, compositions), Sakina Abdou (tenor saxophone), and Angelika Niescier (alto saxophone). The concert is organized in collaboration with the French Institute in Latvia.
