The Ventspils University of Applied Sciences Lifelong Learning Center invites to the next meeting of the "Science and Culture for Society" lecture series, focusing on the impact of pandemics, health, food safety, and the role of science in daily life. The guest speaker will be Dr. med. vet. Aivars Bērziņš, Chairman of the Scientific Council and leading researcher at the "BIOR" Institute. Topics will include how pandemics have changed the world, the "One Health" concept, and food safety, followed by a discussion on their significance. Participation in the event is free of charge.
